And when I'm gone, just carry on, don't mourn
Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my voice
Just know that I'm looking down on you smiling
And I didn't feel a thing, So baby don't feel no pain
Just smile back

Wow! Touching!  :\'(  :\'(  :\'(  :\'(
You're right, Asali, these words make me think of Heath's little girl, and they seem a message for us all, too.
"Just smile back". Yes, I know we should, and I try to do it thinking of Heath and his extraordinary smile. But sometimes tears come. Yesterday I watched a video on "you tube" ("BBM Come What May") and I burst into tears.
Five weeks, already five weeks, and I still can't believe it!
But I know that we must "just smile back". Of course I know.
Simply, I also know that sometimes tears will come. Of course I know.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful words.

                                            Love from Megalyn08  :ghug:

I want to believe that you are in a better place now.
I want to believe that you are happy.
I want to believe that you can see how loved you are.
I hope the sun always shines where you are.
Little Darling.

One day the sun will shine again for me too.
I will be able to be happy again.
Until then I carry you in my heart, all the time.
The truth is... sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it.

Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

Paradise Lost
Steps
...............
Across the desert sands I watch a caravan
And dream it could take me to you
As the east wind blows
I shiver to my bones
Cos all I can think of is you

I still feel you here
The memories are clear
So don't go forgetting my love
How we learned to be free
How we dreamed the same dream
Now nothings what it seems

Paradise lost is a place without you
In the shadow of love there's no room with a view
Walking alone on the sand
Wish you were here again here again
Wishing you were here again

Wonderful,hpv¡ I love it... <^(
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

Where're some anecdotes, little things that aren't important if you don´t put them in another context;far from the moment when they're said or written they get another dimension, more tender and,sometimes,sadder...Few days ago I read somewhere that Ang had said how he had told Heath and Jake to walk and behave like two 40 years old men.And how they'd had to repite the scenes because they walked like a 70 years old men, since being 40 was so far from them still that they thought they were almost two old men then...-being some beautiful and splendorous 23 and 25,it's logical-.
That makes me think that we'll be able to see Jake-God grant¡-getting old,and then we must check if he grows a belly or have a moustache just like his character, and compare if he's so gorgeous as a middle-aged  man as a young one is now...But we can't see if Heath becomes an attractive middle-aged man as Ennis was,or if sadness and problems in his real life ages him before it would be usual,as it happenned with his character's agony during so many years. We won't be able to compare young and middle-aged Heath;only enjoy his nice youthness and all he has given to us in so few years.
It's in moments like this when even the most insignificant anecdote gets a tragic dimension beyond its real importance.Just a thought that I needed to share. :ghug:

I know what you mean mpj. :ghug:

This is why, though it might be selfish of me, I'm really glad that he played a character that aged. Because we get a little glimpse, a little sense, even if it was fabricated and not necessarily true to what he'd look like in RL at that age, of what he might look like then. It's also probably why I've been looking at as many recent pictures as possible lately, along with the 'classics', because I had a need these last few weeks to see him as old as I could, if that makes any sense.

I've also noticed in a few interviews and pictures I was watching over the last few weeks, some tendancies and traits that make me think he might have looked a lot like his father as he aged. I'll never know for sure, but it was kind of a nice thought when it occurred to me.

You're not selfish at all,FlowrChild; it's the only thing we'll have from now onwards...And,of course,it makes sense for me because it's another way of saying what I've just said. But,I repite,we must be happy for having known him somehow and that he'll remains forever young in all the movies and quotes he has left us. :ghug:

It really is all the difference just to have this group, in this place, to come to during this time.  ^f^ I feel a little bit better today, although I did shed a few tears in the car when I'm Already There came on the radio: :\'(

He called her on the road
From a lonely cold hotel room
Just to hear her say I love you one more time
And when he heard the sound
Of the kids laughing in the background
He had to wipe away a tear from his eye
A little voice came on the phone
And said "Daddy when you coming home"
He said the first thing that came to his mind

I'm already there
Take a look around
I'm the sunshine in your hair
I'm the shadow on the ground
I'm the whisper in the wind
I'm your imaginary friend
And I know I'm in your prayers
Oh I'm already there

She got back on the phone
Said I really miss you darling
Don't worry about the kids they'll be alright
Wish I was in your arms
Lying right there beside you
But I know that I'll be in your dreams tonight
And I'll gently kiss your lips
Touch you with my fingertips
So turn out the light and close your eyes

I'm already there
Don't make a sound
I'm the beat in your heart
I'm the moonlight shining down
I'm the whisper in the wind
And I'll be there until the end
Can you feel the love that we share
Oh I'm already there

We may be a thousand miles apart
But I'll be with you wherever you are

I'm already there
Take a look around
I'm the sunshine in your hair
I'm the shadow on the ground
I'm the whisper in the wind
And I'll be there until the end
Can you feel the love that we share
Oh I'm already there
Oh I'm already there

~ ~ ~ ~

So it comes and it goes, but at the end of the day, he's still gone and we're still here. So I wrap up my sorrow over the first, inside of my gratitude for the second, and try to smile for everything he had while he was here and everything he gave us that we still have, and each day is a little better than the one before. Thanks to all of you for being a part of my healing process. :ghug:

 <^(OMG I LOVE this song and ive thought about it and relating it to Heath, hes always with us always. Thanks fr posting this and sharing with us all :^^)

I know exactly how you feel Emzan, everything else is the same and yet nothing feels right and that makes it so hard to comprehend that Heath is no longer physically here. And when I start dwelling on it, the harder it is to believe. I watched A Knight's Tale with some friends last night, and while watching it I pushed it largely to the back of the mind, but somewhere at the back there was the thought 'He's not here anymore'

But much like Zankou1991, I firmly believe (& it's largely whats helped me since the news) that Heath, his spirit lives on somewhere, in a better place that we just can't see. And it hurts that we can't see him or will never see a new movie or interview or photograph. And yet we're lucky, becuase in time, we'll be able to watch his films and see him and hear him and smile. Until we meet again in the place that awaits us. But till then we are left with the memories and his films and while the pain will ease with time, his work will ensure that all of us here will never forget him and be continued to be inspired by Heath for many years to come.
How you felt when you watched A Knights Tale is how i felt when watching that Brokeback Mountain and Ten things I Hate About You recently. I managed to push it to the back of my mind too but at the back of my mind i could feel this niggling feeling of him not being in this world anymore. However he is in my heart and he made me smile again whilst watching him on the TV.
What you said Hayley about Heath being in another place is so what i think too.  #) Hes still with us and will be smiling with us when we smile at his films, his legacy and gift he has left us with..forever.  :ghug:

Hi Cowgirlkit

It is hard to watch the films while we're still adjusting. I didn't manage to watch Brokeback to the end, but the best way to honour Heath is to watch his films, and yes they'll be tough while we're still adjusting, but they'll also make us smile and laugh and we'll always have them as a reminder of his artistic integrity and passion for acting. And the fact that he followed his dreams and shared his talent with us, is something we can always be thankful to him for.

While I have found it hard to watch the films that I have so far since the news, I know that will fade with time (though never completely I think) but I can't imagine never watching them again and Heath not being part of my world in some way.

Hello Brokies!!
I'm sorry I haven't been posting much, school gets pretty hard at times and lately I've been spending much of my time looking at posts from this thread, looking over every page to see beautiful quotes from our lovely members
It was hard for me, going back to the 1st page, because you just sit there and you can close your eyes and just remember exactly where you were when he died..oh, I will always remember.. :\'(
Though I canot belive it's almost March now, and soon, we'll say it's been 3 months, 4 months and so on, I can't imagine how I'll feel when I know it's been a year..
Some people I know have forgotton but still love his films, others like my friend Anna and myself, are still trying to grasp the fact of the death of this honest, loving, caring man who we respected so much on the big screen and in our hearts
Today in German class, the teacher was absent and told us we can pick a movie to bring in and watch so my friend Anna told me to bring in 10 things..so when I brought it in, as I'm asking the teacher the if we can watch it, one of the girls just goes "...Aww, Heath", I couldn't believe some people still cared for this man. But sadely, the Seniors in our class won the chance to watch what they wanted to watch but I gave the DVD to my friend Anna so at least she can still watch our loving boy.. <^(

Heath,no matter that narrow-minded persons didn't want even to watch BBM for a stupid political and moral (?) questions. No matter that these same reasons didn't allow you to win the Oscar for your amazing role in this movie. No matter all this, and more still everything that perhaps you have had to support during these years for portraying a man who has taught us to love without fear,to love above all the difficulties...Things that you have had to support even when you were going to receive your well-deserved homage once you'd already left us,because you had "dared" to be a gay on the screen...
No matter all these nonsenses, because long time ago you've won the Oscar for the best actor in our opinions;and what's more-and more beautiful-you´ve won forever a prize better than this one,as an actor and as a person.THE OSCAR OF OUR HEARTS. We will always love you,Ennis Del Mar.

We will always love you,Ennis Del Mar.

lovely post i totally agree, this man may have not won some small gold statue but he deffinately won our hearts from the moment i seen him in interviews and BBM i knew in life this man was an amazing person im just so sad i didnt know more about him when he was alive, i admire this man and aspire to be like him in some ways i already feel i am i stumbled accross an interview trascript of his earlier today in which he was talking about stupid closed minded people not being able to except gay love and i remember saying it on a website a few weeks ago almost word for word, to me this shows this amazing man really does live on in all of us. he will be forever missed in life but i know we will see him again someday.

Myprivatejack - I have no words to thank you for this. I completely agree and I join with you: he won the Oscar of
our hearts and our everlasting admiration, respect, gratitude, love and friendship.

He and Jake showed us a really deep, sweet and strong love and, yes, they taught us to love
without  fear!!!! I'll be always grateful for this.  <^(

you can close your eyes and just remember exactly where you were when he died..oh, I will always remember.. :\'(
Though I canot belive it's almost March now, and soon, we'll say it's been 3 months, 4 months and so on, I can't imagine how I'll feel when I know it's been a year..(

Lil_dwarf - I perfectly understand your feeling. Of course I'll never forget the moment when I got the terrible news.
My God, what a shock!!  :\'( I still feel stunned if I think about it.
Me too, I don't dare imagine how I may feel saying "it was a year ago"...... I still can't believe it, it's too
                  absurd!!!!

Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

Paradise Lost
Steps
...............
Across the desert sands I watch a caravan
And dream it could take me to you
As the east wind blows
I shiver to my bones
Cos all I can think of is you

I still feel you here
The memories are clear
So don't go forgetting my love
How we learned to be free
How we dreamed the same dream
Now nothings what it seems

Paradise lost is a place without you
In the shadow of love there's no room with a view
Walking alone on the sand
Wish you were here again here again
Wishing you were here again

Bruxa did this..

I havent heard this song for ageees! Its very fitting though, if id have heard it recently id have thought about my feelings and Heath...Good of you to post it and the pics really good :)

Yes they will always be a reminder to us of this wonderful man and i think youre right, in time the difficulty of watching his films will fade, though not totally, i hope we all manage to gain the strength to watch and enjoy Heaths work again so his memory is kept alive and lives on forever :c)  #)  love to all today  x x x  :ghug:
