I think the same movie in Torrence and Venice was the same movie we saw at the local theater.
I do not think they cut more than one version to be onscreen.
They have several scenes cut out of several places, certainly not unusual, and trailers, often don't really line up with the distributed version of the movie.
But the clips they put into the trailers are made up before the movie is out, and that may be one reason, they used several different trailers too.
One is almost all m/f interchanges, and those guys at the garage, that don't have anything to do with anything, just there. And another has most of the guys with two embraces in it along with the mountain shots, so it depended on where you were----I read that part of it was an advertising strategy-they were showing certain clips in certain parts of the country a sort of censorship type situation, for those of us in the middle, that may not have been accepting of the extremes.
