Movie Trailer - Two men in a garage
« on: Feb 16, 2006, 01:36 PM »
In the Movie trailer it shows an older man in front of what appears to be a garage with a younger woman (I think) standing behind him - any one have an idea how that was suppose to have fit in the movie - I don't believe I remember reading anything about it in the screenplay>>>???

Seeing other posts about the cut scene from the movie trailer makes me wonder....

If the scene is not in the movie, why is it in the trailer? This scene was also shown at BAFTA for BBM. Any thought on this?

What is the reason that this scene is cut? Perhaps these two myterious men reveal too much info which could affect the ending of the movie.

They are among Jack's killers, if you believe or not about Jack's killing, it's not the point.

I'm quite uneasy about it, at the time the trailer was posted on Internet, was movie had been seen in Venice and Toronto Festivals  ???

Maybe not, the final cut was not made at that time  ???

Go figure  :P

I think the same movie in Torrence and Venice was the same movie we saw at the local theater.
I do not think they cut more than one version to be onscreen.
They have several scenes cut out of several places, certainly not unusual, and trailers, often don't really line up with the distributed version of the movie.
But the clips they put into the trailers are made up before the movie is out, and that may be one reason, they used several different trailers too.
One is almost all m/f interchanges, and those guys at the garage, that don't have anything to do with anything, just there.   And another has most of the guys with two embraces in it along with the mountain shots, so it depended on where you were----I read that part of it was an advertising strategy-they were showing certain clips in certain parts of the country a sort of censorship type situation, for those of us in the middle, that may not have been accepting of the extremes.
