I don't understand the significance of the white truck. Jack comes miles and miles to see Ennis 'cause he heard 'bout the divorce, and Ennis doesn't reac the way Jack expected. :'( Jack thought it meant that they could be together in a cabin or some such, but Ennis gives the impression off of "No" before later telling Jack "it ain't gonna be like that."
And there is one point where, as they are talking of the divorce, Ennis looks past Jack at a white truck driving by. he seems worried about it. Jack sees Ennis looking at the truck and looks even more sorrowful and upset.
I understand that the white truck means Ennis is paranoid about someone seeing Jack's truck at his place ('specially since Jack was asking around town for Ennis so now the townspeople know Jack knows Ennis and whatnot). But is that the ONLY significance - that Ennis doesn't want to be seen with Jack in town, because of "those looks, like somebody knows" that he gets?
Basically my question is - is there any significance to the white truck OTHER than Ennis' not wanting to be seen with Jack?

:'( :'( :'( Typing this reminds me of the part where Jack drives away in his truck and cries. That made me cry! Jake did the part so well - the sadness radiating from him, the wiping away of the tear. *tears* I wanted to hug him at that part! Not that I didn't always want to hug that sexy man...

But I wanted to hug him in sympathy, at that point.

Anyway - thoughts on the white truck. Any?
