Lost_Girl, Methodists and Pentecostals are different kinds of Christian churches.  Like there are Roman Catholics, Greek Orthodox, Protestant and within the Protestant there are Episcopal, Baptist, Congregational, etc. etc. etc.  They are all Christian churches but believe slightly different things.  For example, only the Roman Catholics believe in the Pope as the infallable head of the Christian church.

Tell you what...truth is, sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it...

This is probably not relevant to this thread, so apologies, but thought I had to share.....on my way to the UK meet on Saturday, I passed a church, it had a huge sign saying "PENTACOST" - and I started laughing to myself......nearly crashed my car in the process, but it made me smile.

Thanks for the links. I have a lot of Methodist friends, so I already knew about that, but I had no idea about the Pentacost thing.

im catholic. go to catholic school and everything, we learn about world religion and i know a lot about judaism, islam, hinduism, sikhism, buddhism etc.

BUT we learn hardly anything about other types of Chrisitians besides basicly "Protestants" not all the individual groups

I heard of Methodist and Pentacost before, but I really never knew exactly what they believed, but i knew they were a christian group
You and me together
Through the days and nights
I don't worry 'cause
Everything's gonna be all right
People keep talking
They can say what they like
But all I know is everything's gonna be all right..

Love it Cowboy. I was raised Methodist too and even tried to return to the church in my early 50's until I discoverd the preacher was a former Pentacostal who spoke in "Tongues". Sent me running back to my oriental beliefs.
There was some open space between what he knew and what he tried to believe, but nothing could be done about it, and if you can't fix it you've got to stand it.

Ennis, riding against the wind back to the sheep in the treacherous, drunken darken light, thought he'd never had such a good time, felt he could paw the white out of the moon.
