2. Love stinks
Heath Ledger can’t punch his way out in “Brokeback Mountain”
Focus Features
Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal star in Ang Lee's "Brokeback Mountain."

In typical Hollywood love stories, violence often turns to passion. Here, because the passion is forbidden and unnamed, it often turns to violence — both externally and internally. After their affair on Brokeback Mountain, Jack (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Ennis (Heath Ledger) bid farewell to each other. Life is already dragging them in different directions and they don’t resist the pull, although Jack looks forlorn as he drives away, watching in his rearview mirror as Ennis walks down the road and seemingly out of his life. And Ennis? He’s the quintessential cowboy: taciturn, emotionless. Until he ducks into an alleyway to... Vomit? Cry? Scream? All three? He punches a brick wall. This awful thing is inside him and he wants it out. Anyone who’s been torn away from their love can identify. It’s the most powerful, universal moment in the year’s most perfect movie.

That's something i noticed after reading 'share your story' link on the official BBM web site.
There are quite a few relationships that started of with some sort of violence...

That's just plain silly. Where are the facts? Who in their right mind would get involved with some one that "STARTED of with some sort of viollence"? There is more reported violence in straight marraiges than in gay relationships.

sorry froggy, didn't mean to be so harsh, bad night (good actually) at local watering hole, "eatin meetin" night, someone had a trukey Bob deepfried it I brought the green beans, rice, appetite,Ellen brought the dressing,( found out you don't stuff a turkey you're going to deep fry - who knew?) - Kenny brougt the cheese cake good feast. Annie played some classical tunes on the piano (she sings also but only when playing the blues) she suppplied the the piano so the bar can't just tell her what not to play...oh, where was I? can't remember. PJ at the door is startiing to look good.
Violence in realationships: a long time ago someone (head shrink) told me that drinking masks problems in a relationship expecially one just starting. (don't get me wrong-I am half the drunk people take me for) So when we do ackowledge the violence in retrospect it may have been there from the start.
gee when I'm sober I get too loquacious - that is a polite word for bulls**t.
