"My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys": Men Who Love Men, Westerns, and Brokeback Mountain by Eric Patterson.
I had posted a piece by Patterson that he wrote after Heath's passing. Here is another part of his book,
On Brokeback Mountain: Meditations about Masculinity, Fear, and Love in the Story and the Film. (I think it's part of the book, or else this is a separate article he wrote.) Anyway, it's so good -- all the stuff we talk about, such as in attempting to define these "gay" characters in this context, and of course about how some people have trouble with the "gay cowboy" concept.

PS: I'm not sure if there is already a thread for book reviews.
