Ennis's future?
« on: Feb 16, 2006, 07:49 PM »
First time poster -Hey everybody!  I've been enjoying your comments. I find myself imagining
Ennis's future.  The story begins with him losing his ranch job when the ranch is
sold and considering moving in with his married daughter.  But I wonder if he ever goes
back to Lighting Flat and developing a relationship with Jack's Mom.  Partly I think he might do this
since he lost his own mother as a child.  Does he ever meet Jack's kid?  I can kind of see Jack's son
seeking him out once he's old enough to understand the relationship his dad had with him.  The kid's loss
is huge - although that's not touched on in the story or film

Hello, and welcome.

First post, hey?
Are you interested in fan fiction?
Many people have started writing stories about this, what happened to Ennis afterwards...would like me to give you a link to those stories?

sure.  I read the story way back, and then read it again just before seeing the movie. It amazed me
that all the dialog in the movie came straight from the strory.
