It's 1:57 am here just now in Edinburgh and although we do have 24 hour drinking here, even I wouldn't stay out this late. Not when I've got exams soon. (Yeah I know 49 and still doing exams - what a dumb ass).

Anyway it's always a pleasure to help you folks out

For those of you on your way out have a couple of JD's for me .

Tom  ;D ;D ;D

No, you're not a dumb ass. >:(      We're never too old to learn.  I have a few degrees, but I still take classes to learn more - some job related and some for fun.   I have very few gray cells left and so I have to take care of them - exercise, exercise, exercise.

Can we proctor the exams for you?  Guaranteed passing marks.    ;D

You really drink Jacques Daniels in Scotland?    ;D

Good luck on the exams!!!

Tom

I'm not much of a drinker, but IMHO the best of the US whiskeys is "Makers Mark".  It's Kentucky Bourbon whiskey, different from Tennessee Sour Mash (JD).  To my taste Markers Mark is better than "Rev Jim Beam" (also a Kentucky Bourbon).    www.makersmark.com/

Scotch whiskey - a gift from the gods!

Glad to hear our "Water of Life" is appreciated worldwide

My friend got a bottle of Laphroaig from his wife for christmas and asked me round for a wee dram. It was lovely lovely peaty aroma  and warmed me 'fi the top o' ma heid tae the tips o' ma taes' It cost her about £58  ( you do the conversion). He wouldn't give me more than two glasses though ......tight Scottish Git (actually he is Welsh).

Still it was very very good.

Ah yes, Laphroaig the peaty-est (sp?) of the single malts from Islay.  I tried it once - a beautiful creature.    Your "sin taxes" are very high.   58 pounds Sterling is roughly US $100.00.  Ouch!  A very nice Christmas gift.   I also like Macallan Scotch with its hint of sherry sweetness.

"...tight Scottish Git...", thought that was a Thrifty Scotsman.    ;D

Well JD is about £22 Jim Beam about the same. Wild Turkey about £23 the rarer ones are more expensive.

This is for a litre rather than a pint.

Cheaper with Vodka etc, but you can't buy class eh?

I'm gonna say night now, cos I'm Zzzz ing away here nearly.  Just gonna say bye to all.

"Means more socially than artistically" Could that mean Gyllenhaal may actually be planning to come OUT and put and end the the rumour mills churning around his personal life!?

i wish he comes out soon! the thought about it is just so Yuumy!  :D

He meant the affect the film has had on people. He was referring to the number of people who have thanked him for his part in making this film. Nothing to do with him personally.
