Your Oscar Prediction for BBM

It is only a few days away from the Oscar. BBM has won "the Oscar of Our Heart"

I am hoping for a sweep but it is wishful thinking.

What would be your prediction? Please cast your vote.

Here are my predictions

Best Picture
Best Director
Best Adapted Screenplay
Best Music
Best Cinematography
Best Supporting Actor

Sorry, Heath and Michelle. (I am hoping my prediction is wrong).

I had a goal to try to see as many of the Oscar contenders as possible......particularly in the acting categories..I have failed to see all  but here is my take so far..

For best picture I have only seen BBM and Crash......Crash was awful...absolutely awful..and of course I rate BBM as one of my all-time top ten

I saw Walk the Line.....both Jaoquim and Reese were great as was the movie....I haven't seen any of  the other best actress nominees but she sure seems to deserve it//I am rooting for Heath 1000% but if he doesn't get it I hope Joaquim does ...I will drag myself to see Capote later this week

I saw Constant Gardener last night..very very good movie..I can see why people are saying Rachel weisz will probably win Best supporting actress ....I loved Michelle in BBM of course but Rachel's part was more of a lead and she was great!..I am surprised that the movie did not get a Best Picture nomination and frankly am surprised that Ralph Fiennes didn't get a Best actor nod..I haven't seen Capote yet but heard that PSH is very very over rated...I want to see that for myself before Sunday

My goal is also to see Cinderella Man and Syrianna so I get to see more of Jake's competition as well ( I really want HIM to win!!!)

I am keeping my fingers crossed for BBM for all 8 categories but I really think it has to win for:

Picture
Director
Adapted Screenplay
Cinematography

Should win for:

Actor
Supporting Actor

I understand that it probably won't win for score because of "Geisha" and after seeing Constant Gardener I don't think Michelle has a chance

Just my take anyway

there those are my predictions, i have high hopes.. lol

if BBM doesn't win best picture, all hell will brake loose.. so it will win!!
but I swear to you, if heath & jake don't win or if BBM doesn't win best picture, I will like make them all my own oscar for them and it will be like a 'peoples choice' oscar, and it will be more meaningful because it will be an award from the public you know people who actually SAW the movie, and not a group of homophobic 95 year old men.. ugh.

BEST PICTURE

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR ( but George could be a strong competitor )

however,

Same for Heath and Michelle, if they will, IT WILL BE SO GREAT! But the Capote guy is old so he needs his Oscar and in Supporting Actress, competition.. too much competition I can't decide in this one.

Best Supporting Actress

That category has the least amount of political baggage going in, and Rachel Weisz just wasn't as good as Michelle (saw Constant Gardener).

Others:

Best Actor - PSH  >:( >:( >:( >:(

Best Supporting Actor - Clooney

Also, I have an idea.  I was a corporate trainer the last 10 years of my banking career.  I taught one class that involved roleplays, and I used to give "academy awards" to the best participants.  All they were were bottles of Mrs. Butterworth's syrup spray painted gold, but for some reason, they became coveted prizes!  We could keep this in mind in case any "Oscars of the Heart" are needed!

i REFUSE to cheat on BBM and get educated about other pics!!  I am so bad.  I have only seen good night and good luck.  Before BBM I never went to movies.  Good night I only saw because I remembered the Murrow days and am political.  Then I saw BBM in December--and since have seen it more than 30 times.  anyhow,

****Best Actor****
Best Supporting Actress
Best Cinematography (iffy-but hopeful)
I REALLY think Jakes deserves Best Supporting Actor, especially since I can watch him on screener DVD and you see things he does that you do not see on big screen.  In some ways he is better than Heath....but I think Clooney will win.  God I hope that creep Dillon doesn't - he gives me the willies.  ugh

Is it Sunday yet............i can't wait.......My friends boyfriend (old and sick) died today and I am thinking oh my-no memorial Sunday-how selfish-but if it is it will be between 2 and 4 or so and Acadamy Awards start at 5 here.  Hopefully, it will be on Saturday.  I know I know...but brokeaholic is a hard thing to be at this time.  I hadn't hung out with them in many years-so it wasn't like a close friend which I hope I would feel differently.  But I don't want any close people to pass.  Oh, I am sooooooooo selfish and obsessed.  geez.

I think there was a pepole choices award in January. Maybe BBM will be up for the next year? I am not sure.

As for the predictions, one article I read today pointed out that if Michelle Williams wins Supproting Actress at the beginning of the Oscar, it will be BBM night. Sounds right and I hope it happens

It would be so cool, and who knows?  I mean I remember when Roberto Benini won NO one
predicted that and it was SO deserved.  It was a great moment too when he jumped over
