Yes, the second tent scene wins -- TOTALLY. Not to say I don't love the reunion kissing. It's joyous, thrilling, arousing, and even a little rough. But their very first series of kisses (SNIT) is even more multi-dimensioned -- makes me feel airborne every time I watch it. It's tender, reassuring, protective, romantic, erotic, increasingly passionate, and deeply loving. And when you put it in the context that 24 hours earlier Ennis could hardly have imagined kissing another man romantically, well, to me the scene is nothing short of miraculous. Also miraculous is that two straight actors could pull it off so brilliantly and utterly convincingly. Yup, SNIT is number one, hands down!
