Deleted scenes-Ennis crying
« on: May 14, 2006, 06:24 AM »
I think it's important  for all of members of this forum to know that among the famous "deleted scenes" it seems
existing an other one where Ennis is crying loudly while holding onto the shirts.
I post the link:
http://community.livejournal.com/wranglers/936961.html

I hope it will be true and soon we'll be able to see it.

Oh god, I'm not sure I could handle this deleted scene if it's true - I'm enough of a mess just knowing that he's crying at all, without seeing him break down :'(

Mars, thanks for sharing this.

Wouldn't that be something if it is true? But with or without, I know that Ennis's heart was bleeding. Maybe one day it will surface.  ;)

You're right Ethan - we know that Ennis's heart was breaking at that point and we also know by the red eyes when he returns to the kitchen that he's been crying for a while up there. I would like to see Heath's performance in that scene though, if it's true - even if I had to watch from behind tears.

OT - Matron, that is a wonderful picture you have for your avatar.

And I hope that other deleted scenes gradually come to light as well.  This one is so important since it would show Ennis actually laying himself completely open, not caring about who might see or about any other consequences for the first time ever.  :(

sheildmaid, congratulations on your 200 posts.  :D

I actually have a mixed feeling about this. BBM is a movie of subtlety. It was edited out probably because of this reason. The movie doesn't release your emotion but it hits you hard later.

Ennis in the shirts scene is so believable. He was in the state of confusion, surprise, sadness, and every emotion imaginable. It is just hard to cry out loud until it hits later.

So true Ethan.

If there is such a scene I'm not sure I'd be able to handle it! I'm already a sobbing mess by that point. Just picturing this scene has me ready to lose it.

Yes, Ethan I understand your point which was the director's too.
But...if there are really other scenes..also deleted...I would like to be able to see them
as a BBM lover...I'd "enjoy" all the possible existing shades of Ennis's love and torment..... :(

Yeah - I think the scene is perfect as it is, but I can't get enough of this movie/story and if there are deleted scenes then I want to see them simply because they would be to do with BBM.

Thanks, Mars  ;) If indeed there is a such scene, I don't think I can bear to watch Ennis crying like a bucket. Too much for me to take.

My thought exactly.  :'(

I do want to see deleted scenes- I want to see every bit of film that was shot- call me greedy.  :)

I think seeing Ennis really lose it would be even more unbearable.

And yes Mars- a whole new "crying game."

I agree with everyone...the curiosity of seeing Heath really get into that scene would be something, although by saying that please don't think I'm taking anything away from what he already does, as he is just completely believable and utterly heartbreaking....so I am actually not sure my heart could take Ennis giving in to his grief in such an emotional way.   :'(

But having said this, and I don't mean to be a spoil sport here, but I'm really surprised that this deleted hasn't appeared anywhere on the net before now, either in video form or picture form.  We all know about the now infamous hippie scene, and there are even pics around that have the hippies in the background, but would probably need concrete proof of this scene actually existing before I let my heart prepare itself for another emotional battering!!!!

It seems nothing new about that scene, Mars, uh? I surfed the net a lot today also for it, but nothing (except that link you gave here today)... Anyway, did you have at least any sort of confirmation that that scene actually exists?
